GLI AZZURRI DELLO SCIALPINISMO SONO PRONTI PER LA PRIMA TAPPA DI COPPA DEL MONDO


Mancano solo tre settimane alla prima prova di Coppa del Mondo che vedrà impegnati i ragazzi, Senior, Espoir e Junior, della nazionale azzurra di scialpinismo.
La gara si disputerà sulle nevi francesi di Puy-St. Vincent il 10 e 11 gennaio, il programma del week-end mondiale inizierà venerdì pomeriggio quando tutti gli atleti del circo bianco sfileranno per la cerimonia d’apertura. I primi punti di Coppa del Mondo saranno assegnati sabato mattina con la prova individuale mentre domenica mattina si disputerà la Sprint Race.

Lo stato di forma dei ragazzi azzurri è in linea con le aspettative del Direttore Tecnico Stefano Bendetti, in questo periodo, dopo lo svolgimento dei Campionati Italiani gli atleti sono ancora in una fase di carico. Le convocazioni saranno diramate nei primi giorni di gennaio in base alle gare che si disputeranno in queste settimane. L’annullamento della prima prova di Coppa Italia che era in programma a Misurina in provincia di Belluno il 21 dicembre renderà più difficile la scelta dei tecnici per comporre la rosa in partenza per la Francia.

Il programma del circuito Scarpa ISMF World Cup proseguirà con la Font Blanca, seconda prova tra le montagne andorrane, che si correrà il 24 e 25 gennaio. Gli atleti saranno impegnati il 24 gennaio nella prova individuale mentre il giorno successivo sarà la volta della prova Vertical.
Dopo la parentesi importantissima dei Campionati Mondiali in calendario dal 5 al 12 febbraio a Verbier, la Coppa del Mondo riprenderà il 21 febbraio in Grecia sulle nevi del Monte Olimpo.
La settimana successiva alla tappa greca, il circo bianco ritornerà in Italia e precisamente in Val d’Ultimo (BZ) in occasione del Marmotta Trophy. In Italia si disputeranno l’Individual Race e la Sprint Race.
Il 27 e 29 marzo a Prato Nevoso (CN) andranno in scena le finali con le prove Sprint, Vertical e Individual.

THE ITALIAN NATIONAL SKI MOUNTAINEERING TEAM IS READY FOR THE FIRST WORLD CUP RACE

In just three weeks the Senior, Espoir and Junior members of the Italian national ski mountaineering team will participate in the first World Cup event of the season.
The race will take place in France, at Puy-St. Vincent, on January 10 and 11. The weekend events will begin on Friday afternoon with a parade of all the athletes at the opening ceremony. The first World Cup points will be awarded Saturday morning in the individual race, and the sprint race will be held Sunday morning.
The Italian skiers’ form is in line with the expectations of coach Stefano Bendetti for this period. The athletes are still in a phase of intense training following the Italian championships. The World Cup team selection will be announced in early January, based on how the skiers perform in the races over the next few weeks. The cancellation of the first Italian Cup event, scheduled for December 21 in Misurina in the province of Belluno, will complicate the coaches’ job of selecting the skiers to take to France.
The Scarpa ISMF World Cup circuit will continue with the second event, the Font Blanca, in the mountains of Andorra, on January 24 and 25. The skiers will participate in the individual race on the 24th and the vertical race the following day.

After the important break for the World Championships, scheduled for February 5 to 12 at Verbier, the World Cup will resume on February 21 in Greece, on the slopes of Mount Olympus. The following week, the skiers will return to Italy, to Val d’Ultimo (province of Bolzano), for the Marmotta Trophy, featuring an individual race and a sprint race.
The final World Cup event will be held on March 27 and 29 at Prato Nevoso (province of Cuneo), with sprint, vertical and individual races.
