A snap shot of a particularly good day on the bike.

Passo Giau, 7pm.

I remember asking Gabrielle for the time and simultaneously thinking “This is amazing! I’ve got to take a moment to appreciate this…”

We’d spent the afternoon riding up and down some truly spectacular mountains, the Fedaia, Staulanza, Giau…while the guys from Poci’s were taking photos, capturing both the local landscape and Sportful SS14 apparel.

A few days earlier, lunch and a brief chat with Steve Smith, (Sportful Brand Manager) the exact words of the conversation were a little hazy.

Hungry with low blood sugar, pizza was all I could think about… but the gist of what Steve said was this.

“When you think about it, what is Sportful? We’re a company / brand that strives to make the best cycling apparel, to enable us to do cool stuff…”

Those simple but profound words came flooding back to me, as we screamed down the Staulanza for the umpteenth time.

 

Capturing the BodyFit Pro and Gruppetto SS14 apparel was proving to be quite tricky, with the clouds covering the sun and 2 cyclists who wouldn’t slow down! But with patience and 2 tiring bike riders, Eduardo and Andrea managed to capture some inspiration in the shape of the Dolomites and some sharp looking Sportful kit.

 

It’s exciting to think we have a whole summer ahead, Sportful is better than ever and there’s plenty of cool roads and mountains to ride.
