When the 2014 Tour de France route was unveiled, almost a year ago, Tinkoff Saxo knew one thing – the individual TT would be the stage where they had most to gain or lose.

 What they needed was for every last piece of equipment to give Alberto Contador the best possible aerodynamic advantage.

Sportful spent the next nine months testing countless fabrics, patterns and positions and refined every detail until we had something that wasn’t just a bit better than everything else but a giant leap towards aerodynamic perfection.

In the wind tunnel it performed like nothing else.

When Contador’s tour was cut short we thought we would have to wait until next year to see the suit in action…

 Yesterday at the Vuelta a Espãna it did exactly what it was designed for – to help take Alberto into the lead of a Grand Tour.

 We can’t tell you much more than that right now.

Per la velocità ci vuole tempo…

Quando il percorso del Tour de France del 2014 è stato svelato, quasi un anno fa, Tinkoff Saxo sapeva una cosa – la crono individuale sarebbe stata la tappa dove avrebbero avuto di più da vincere o perdere.

Quello di cui avevano bisogno era di dare, con ogni singolo capo, il maggior vantaggio aerodinamico possibile ad Alberto Contador.

Sportful ha passato gli ultimi 9 mesi a testare un’infinità di tessuti, modelli e posizioni, rifinendo ogni dettaglio per fare in modo di creare non qualcosa che fosse solo uno scalino sopra tutto il resto ma un prodotto che fornisse un vantaggio massiccio in materia di perfezione aerodinamica.

Nel tunnel del vento la sua prestazione non ha eguali.

Quando il tour di Contador ha avuto uno stop improvviso, abbiamo temuto di dover aspettare un altro anno per vedere la suit in azione…

Ieri alla Vuelta a España ha svolto il compito per il quale era stata creata – aiutare Alberto a stare in testa in un Grand Tour.

Per il momento non possiamo dirvi molto di più.

In effetti ora sapete probabilmente un po’ troppo…
