With summer just visible on the horizon it’s about time we launched our latest collection, featuring some totally new innovations, some subtle tweaks and some great new graphics. Here’s some of the highlights. (click on the product names for more information)

Sportful R&D

The R&D range is the pinnacle of tech research, whether it’s the hours of wind tunnel testing to get the R&D SpeedSkin jersey 20 W at 50km/h faster than anything else we’ve tested, or the hundreds of fabrics we sampled to get the R&D Ultralight jersey as breathable as possible without losing the vital UV protection that so many lightweight jerseys struggle to maintain, we make sure that every factor is taken in to account to make clothing that is exceptional. Last year we gave both jerseys to Tinkoff Saxo for race testing, the result – 3 stage wins in the Tour de France & Giro d’Italia.

BodyFit

The standard race kit of choice for Tinkoff Saxo, BodyFit is anything but standard, the BodyFit Pro Race jersey is one of the best fitting jerseys you can find and it’s lightweight stretchy mesh is not only highly aerodynamic & breathable it also happens to dry extremely fast too should you be caught out in the rain, making it the perfect all conditions jersey, we’ve also redesigned the BodyFit Pro Team jersey making it the same great fit as the race jersey with a new fabric that’s great for all but the hottest conditions. The BodyFit Pro bibshorts now come in two options – the BodyFit Pro Ltd – which features our Total Comfort bib straps and a TC Pro seatpad with variable density foam perforated for breathability or the BodyFit Pro Classic with our extremely popular low profile BodyFit Pro seatpad & mesh straps.

If you like louder graphics then Gruppetto is for you – same BodyFit comfort and performance with the a bold race style.

 Fiandre

With the introduction of our Fiandre Light clothing last winter we’ve kept key items in the summer collection that offer wind and water protection with minimal bulk. We’ve added two new versions of the Fiandre Light NoRain top – a vest and a short sleeve for those that prefer less on the arms. The Fiandre NoRain bibshorts and NoRain bibtights also stay for summer 2015 because lets face it who knows what weather summer will bring!

Super Total Comfort

The Super Total Comfort Bibshort probably doesn’t need much explanation –  all we can say is that it lives up to its name.

The biggest innovation that has gone into these short is the unique stretch woven Comprime fabric that is more durable, gives better coverage and offers better moisture management and compression than the knitted material used on most shorts, what’s more it’s also lighter. We’ve also taken all the most comfortable components of our other shorts, lay flat leg bands, total comfort seatpad then updated the total comfort bibstrap, added a mesh panel to the lower back and delivered our most comfortable short yet.

Performance

Our performance range has always offered great performance (hence the name), comfort and value. The 2015 collection sees the addition of two new jerseys, the Pordoi & Giau which take some of the features from our BodyFit & R&D clothing and builds them into a jersey with a slightly less ‘race’ fit. Lightweight and comfortable they’ll keep you cool throughout the summer even when your climbing the passes they are named after.

Also new for 2015 is the Italia ES jersey which celebrates Sportful’s glory years as sponsor of the Italian National team. The 5 stars on the chest represent the 4 World Championship victories (Bettini x 2, Cipollini & Ballan) and Olympic Gold (Bettini again!). The jersey has a soft classic feeling material and fit without sacrificing modern performance, flocked white lettering and a tricolore zipper finish this stylish jersey.

In shorts there’s the new Tour Max bibshort that’s designed for long distance comfort and features our TC Pro seatpad, used by Tinkoff Saxo, lay flat leg endings and our 2l squared fabric that is great at moisture management. We’ve also added a Giro Team bibshort that has the same construction as our bestselling Giro model but with some flashes of colour for a those that like a brighter look, it has all the features of a high end short but at amazing value.

Baselayers

Our baselayers get an update with the addition of  BodyFit baselayers designed to work perfectly with our BodyFit clothing, the lighter open DRYnamic mesh panels follow the contours of the bibstraps & shorts reducing moisture in contact areas that can often get a little damp. The Diablo mesh front section helps regulate temperature throughout your ride to avoid overheating or windchill. There’s also the fantastic value new Thermo Dynamic Lite baselayers that are extremely lightweight and breathable thanks to the ThermoDRYnamic Mesh construction.

Women’s

Sportful’s BodyFit women’s range offers the same high performance fabrics and technology with a feminine style and women’s specific ergonomics, new for 2015 is the addition of a Gruppetto women’s line which like the guys version offer bolder graphics and colours with the same BodyFit performance.

For those that want their cycling kit a little less ‘bike’ the Modella & Sun & Sea range takes cues from the latest fitness trends & styles and adapts them to make a collection that looks at home on the beach, on the bike or in the yoga studio.

We’ve also updated our women’s bibshorts to give the Tour & Giro models a better fit, with women’s specific bib straps, lay flat leg endings and in all our new women’s shorts we’ve completely overhauled the Princess and Infinity seatpads to make them incredibly comfortable yet very low profile so you don’t get the ‘cyclist’s backside’ look!

Kid’s

Our kids clothing features the same great fabrics and design as our adult kit just in miniature! We’ve added a Gruppetto print so the kids can wear the same kit as you and our latest Mini Granfondo jersey & shorts features a fun graphic that we’re sure a few adults wouldn’t mind having on their kit!

Accessories

As well as the matching Bodyfit gloves, cap & socks we’ve also added a matching Gruppetto glove in men’s & women’s fit with bold styling, like the BodyFit it’s the same glove used for racing by Tinkoff Saxo, it’s light & comfortable and fits so well it doesn’t need any velcro.

There’s also a new Total Comfort glove with a mesh back for warm weather riding and a great value Giro glove that comes in a selection of colours to match your Giro kit.

 

The 2015 Sportful collection has something to offer for every cyclist whether you are a Pro Tour rider or just taking the kids to the park at the weekend, the important thing is you get out & enjoy riding your bike!
